Getting involved is easy! We are always looking for players and volunteers to help.

Interested in Volunteering?

• If you would like to volunteer, click here for job descriptions.  Go to specialhockey.org and sign up as a volunteer.  Individuals over 18 must complete a background check and training. If you are 14 or younger, sign up as a player and select no disability.

Interested in playing?​

• Play is no contact!  We are a no-checking league. ZERO PLAYER PHYSICAL CONTACT, similar to flag football.

​

• No skating or hockey background required. We have staff would would love to teach all required skills.

​

• If you would like to play for the Mercer Bulldogs, go to specialhockey.org and sign up as a player and choose Mercer Bulldogs. We play at the Lawrenceville School and the Hobey Baker Rink in Princeton, NJ.  Lawrenceville practices are on Saturdays (times vary) and Princeton practices are on Sunday at 8:30 am. LOANER SKATES ARE AVAILABLE AT LAWRENCEVILLE ONLY.  A helmet is required to be on the ice.  If you need to borrow one, let us know at sign up.

• There is no obligation to sign up; signing covers skaters for insurance purposes. There is no fee to try! A full season is $200 for the 1st skater and $150 for each additional skater. There is no payment due to try.

• The season goes from September to March in Lawrenceville and Princeton goes until May. 

​

• Once you decide to commit, we have equipment to lend to limit expenses.
